Open Mic Night :)

Pres started playing guitar at open mic night down town Buena Vista, where we live. It just started to be something fun we would do but has turned into something more meaningful than that. Now, he has a bunch of friends that play with him and he is always scheduled to play at "Frank's for the the Memories" where open mic night is.

The band: Tommy, Pres, Ed, Cindy, Gary
(In order from left to right)

Pres became good friends with a guy named Ed. Ed is the coolest person we have ever met. He has a musical background that goes way back when. He use to play for big artists and toured with Incubus. He has owned his own music store as well in Florida. After being involved with music he decided to get in the Army and was deployed to Iraq. In Iraq he got diagnosed with bone cancer. After coming home in a wheel chair he got surgrey, and is now going out and being active. He and Pres have been playing together for the last 3 months. He is one of the most moving people that we have ever met and has such a touching story. His music tells his whole story because when he plays, it all comes from his heart. He can play almost anything and moves me ever time he does.

Memorial Day Week

Memorial Day was so fun! Pres and Tye went golfing that morning and got some serouis sun! :) They both did not use sun screen and were in the sun for about 4 hours while it was almost 100 degrees. They were excited to actually go golf in some good weather.

That weekend Pres and I went to Nashville to see our cutest little neices! We had so much fun spoiling them and getting to see them. Tye, had to work so he couldn't come :(

The morning after we got to Nashville, 2:00 a.m., the girls loved us so much that they woke us up at 7:00 a.m. so we all snuggled/slept. Obviously everone wanted to snuggle with Uncle Pres and not Aunt Kara. :)

Typewriter

So there we were, after work on a Friday. Just hanging out relaxing after a hard's day work and then it happens! Tye challenges Pres to a fight, which Pres usually never really fights him except this time he did.

Tye really wanted to beat Pres up a little but didn't have a chance.
Tye...bless your heart.

Welcome to the Baltimore Orioles in Camden Yard

Take me out to the ball game! We had a blast going to the baseball game in Baltimore where the Oiroles played the Tampa Rays. It was a great game and the Orioloes almost had it in the bag until the last inning where they let the Rays tie them at 4-4 and in 2 extra innings the Rays won... :(

We also got to see our good friend Jim who Pres grew up with. They were definately not the trouble makers... hummm... :) We were so glad we got to see Jim and his mom and will see them soon shortly again. We will get a picture with them next time!
