Happy 1st Anniversary!

A year ago Saturday, December 17th 2010, Pres and I were getting married! We can't believe is has already been a year...it went by so fast! Pres planned out our whole day as a surprise for our anniversary and for the last month I have been trying to find out what he planned.

Pres took me out to eat at one of the nicest places in Lexington, VA and got me beautiful flowers! Dinner was AWESOME! We ate at a little restaurant called Cafe' Micheal. It is only open for dinner and the owner is the cook. He cooks the best food around!

Happy Anniversary!

Thanksgiving in Chicago

This Thanksgiving we were blessed to see our family in Chicago. Surprisingly, it was not as cold as it usually is this time in Chicago and the forecast was nice to use. We had so much fun with our family and we missed then dearly!

Each year in Lake Forest (Chicago Suburbs) there is a "Christmas Lighting" where the whole town gets together to have hot chocolate and sing Christmas carols. After which, they light the Lake Forest Christmas tree which is a symbol to everyone living in the area that it it now ok to officially turn on Christmas lights in the community.

This is Grant (Pres' brother) and the newest addition to our family, Grant wife Laura. They are newly weds. We are glad they could come to Chicago and spend Thanksgiving with all of us!

Especially during this Holiday season Pres and I are grateful to have our family and to see them too! We appreciate all there sweet spirits and hard work! Our family is so cute and we love them!

Happy Halloween!

This year we carved pumpkins for Halloween! Our Halloween was very eventful and we had some poeple over to watch the World Series! Our friend Colt is from Saint Louis so our evening was very intense as STL, as we know now, would go on and win the World Series!

Pres carved a "M" for monster the energy drink. Pres, Colt, and Tye might be addicted to these things. :)

I carved a scared face with "Boo" at the bottom which is a little hard to see in the picture.

Happy Halloween!

Ethan Came to Party!

We were so lucky to have a visitor, Ethan Davis, recently stay with us . Ethan's mom, Melissa, works in the Library at Southern Virginia University and keeps Pres & I in line as if we were her own kids. Because Melissa was going to be at a conference we were able to have Ethan stay with us for the night.

Ethan and Pres played mario and watched football for the whole evening. I could here them yelling at mario and the football game from the other room..they really got into the spirit.

Ethan also brought us a pack of Dr. Peppers! What a great kid!

Staci's Senior Night!

Please meet Tye's wonderful girlfriend, Staci! :) Staci is so sweet and cute! She and Tye have been dating since the beginning of August and they are so adorable! She plays volleyball for Southern Virginia University.
Staci's final home volleyball game was last Thursday. She played so well and had 4 great digs and has a season total of 128 digs! Tye was able to be her escort at senior night. Good Job Staci!

Nash Vegas Vacation!!!!

Bryant and Tye had a bye week in their football schedule so we went down to Nashville to see our family, we were lucky enough to make it on a weekend that the little girls had soccer games! The twins (Brooklyn & Lauren) played early in the morning and Katie played in the afternoon. It was great to get a chance to go down and see our family!

Brooklyn has played in a few games already and has been the competitor that everyone expected her to be, she score 4 of the 5 goals her team had in their first game!

Gettin ready for game time

She is always so excited to play soccer!

Because she hurt her arm Lauren has not been able to play... until today!
Look how excited she was to be out running around with her sister!

The girls did such a great job!!!
They also had one of the biggest fan groups of anyone on the team

Chan, Bryant, and Katie supporting the twins

Uncle Pres

Uncle Tye...
 paying attention... uh huh....

 Katie Bug making the best
of her time in the crowd

Maybe we should ban cell phones on the sidelines
so everyone can pay attention to the action

Uhhh.....
I don't even know what Pres is doing
but Bryant seems happy about it

Mom and I being good spectators
(No cell phones)

Katie's game was after the twins, she did really well!

She is a player!
Just like the rest of the family

Sadly the uncles didn't get much of a chance to watch Katie
because Brooklyn and Lauren needed someone to play with...

They love trying to "get" Uncle Pres
but... mostly he "gets" them!

Uncle Jungle Gym
They got him!!!!

Yep... he got'em

still gettin'em

She loves her Uncle!... but not as much as her Aunt :)

Bryant's First College Football Game!

Our little cousin Bryant graduated from High School this year in Oregon and started his first year of college at here at Southern Virginia University. We were able to talk him into coming out to SVU to play football for one semester before leaving for his mission. He is doing great and it is wonderful to spend some time with him while he is here.

This weekend was his first college game and my parents and our cousin Courtney and her husband Zach were able to come see us and attend the game! Courtney & Zach just moved to our side of the country about a couple months ago. Now that they are close to us, we can see each other often.

SVU played Kentucky Christian. Final score 20-6 KC.

Cabin Fever

We were so lucky to spend a relaxing weekend with the Duncan's and the Simpson's! We rented a cabin need Dolleywood Tennessee and it was so much fun. We have three little neices who we were really excited to see. One of which, Lauren, broke her arm the day before we all went to the cabin. She had to have surgery on her arm a couple days ago as the bone wasn't set right in her cast.
We hope she has a fast and easy recovery!
